Hormones are special chemical messengers in the body that are created in the endocrine glands. Hormones work to balance sleep cycles, regulate mood, regulate body temperature, reproduction, and regulate hunger to name a few! Whether they are working for you or against you we all have hormones!  A lot can be said about hormone balance and using essential oils! Essential oils have powerful effects on the endocrine systems in the body. The endocrine system is our glandular system and it is the system that creates our hormones. This Glandular system consists of the hypothalamus, parathyroid, thymus, pancreas, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, pineal, ovaries, and testes. All these glands work together to create a symphony of hormones!
It turns out the endocrine system is very sensitive to stress! Environmental, emotional, dietary and many more avenues of stress can disrupt our endocrine system throwing our hormones out of wack!
